Stuff and then some

There are some things I really miss being single. Yeah of course there's the sex (which is great) and a friend you really love spending time with, but the thing I miss the most is kissing another guy. Yeah I really do. It's something that is just the most amazing feeling and you can do it just about anywhere, anytime. Well maybe not anywhere but you get my drift. Here's to more kissing in the future :)

The poll I made last week is over and we ended with a tie. You prefer guys clean shaven or with a short trimmed beard, both with 14 votes. Clearly the longer it gets the less you like it, lol. Well I'm putting another poll up. Lets say you were closeted. You had some friends that had their suspicions about you, but were completely oblivious to it all. Would
you rather know that they think you might be gay or would you rather not know?

I went out to a meal over the weekend with some friends, and the talk at the table turned to gays. I can tell you how wonderful it was to hear that some of my close friends/family think gays are sick. So much for expecting them to be able to handle my coming out in the [near?] future :( .

I just want to say thanks to those who comment. Even if you post as 'anonymous' and i'm curious to know who you really are, it's nice to have some feedback so I don't feel i'm all alone here.

hey man. so what do YOU think. would you want to know if a friend thought you were gay. i said yes. i'd like to think that my friends would still be friends even after me confirming their suspicions are correct. actually, its happened a lot to me. and unless its someone of absolutely no consequence, i always say yes i am gay. i just see it as much less stressful than the idea of "coming out". sorry to hear your friends aren't as open minded as you hoped. :(

unfortunately, it looks like some of my family is the same - if i told them that i was gay, they would not be supportive. and it kills me when i think about it. but i guess ive accepted it. the bad side is that i now feel more distant from them. the good side is that i dont really care anymore - im not worried about them finding out.

I remember my mother telling me gay people were sick .. that was when I was 15 years old (20 years ago eeik!), I became frightened by gay men. My brother used to beat up people just like me...

Much to my families disgust 3 years later I came out to them - one of the people they told me to "avoid" was my boyfriend at the time. I was happy my family wasn't.

I was threatened with hormone therapy, removal from the family and the will (and almost pushed off a 3 story balcony).. I had no choice but to leave them behind.

20 years later, it's changed a little - I'm still gay, I didn't get removed from the will or the family but they still hate it and hate gay men. My mother openly asks me if I will ever marry a female and refuses to accept my long standing relationship with another man.

End of the day, it's fear and ignorance of the unknown, but it exists and as gay men or women we need to deal with it as best we can.

I found telling the people that hate it most worked for me, but then I like a good shock from time to time.

I agree. I miss kissing a guy where there is mutual LTR interest, especially while one of us is in the other... One night stands don't really do the trick anymore, guess that's why I can't get Madonna's "Cherish" outta my head. (Fuck, I'm gay:)
That said, after a really rough 3 weeks, I almost forgot to look here & @ your FB posts. Progress!
Hope you continue finding many more hot guys to kiss. (Trimming that afro-puff beard might help;)

As for your poll, I don't see my answer there;)

What would I think? I have no idea! On one hand i'd rather not know because it might make things a bit weird between us. On the other hand if i knew I would be more careful infuture around other people. People don't suspect me, at least I don't think so. Well I hope so.

Mr Z, you just can't get away can you?! Progress? Well i guess so somewhat. More to come hopofully :)

Ouch, I gather you weren't talking about me in your latest post! Damn, he moves fast.

Okay, now I'm totally confused if your post was saying you miss me or just the concept?

More importantly, I did want to express outrage at those particular friends/family members for saying that gays are sick. That sucks! I hope that wasn't a message to you. My aunt pulled that shit with me, while having gay friends at work. I can't stand that ignorance any more...
You need and deserved to be accepted, loved & supported for the sweet man you are.

Thanks Z. In my post I wasn't referring to you specifically, just the general idea. But i do miss you :)

I decided I didn't want to air all my issues in public, especially with all the other HJs potentially reading it;)
It's quite appropriate that my Moving On blog is not posted and just a shade of green:)

I see. You have issues?! ;)

Mr. Z said...

Duh! Why do you think you went from, Totally into me to ~We'll see, but I'll fuck you when I'm finished socializing with my friends or the girl I'm not into~
Oops. Bitter, table for one please! ;)

Jay said...

Oh I see... not quite how I see it. But i see where you're coming from

Mr. Z said...

It's not how I see it completely either.
If I had my own place and job though, my other issues wouldn't have been so present, your very understandable temporary issues wouldn't have pissed me off so much and believe we would still be together. Oh well. It's where I'm at now.
Have a good night and get "J" Jr.-I mean Sr.- taken care of:)
